Saskatchewan Pulse Grower's Scholarship

Saskatchewan Pulse Growers is giving out 5 x $5,000 each scholarships in 2018. To be eligible for a scholarship, a student must complete Grade 12 and plan on continuing Saskatchewan based post-secondary education full time in a program associated with the agriculture industry; a student or student's parents must be registered Saskatchewan pulse growers; a student must have a minimum average of 70%; and, a student must not be immediate family member of current SPG staff. Successful applicants will show an interest in pursuing a career related to agriculture and the pulse industry and will have a history of demonstrated leadership within school and community. To apply, students need to submit their transcript, proof of acceptance to a post-secondary program followed by proof of registration and written essay (max 500 words) on: How student has contributed to their school and/or community life; How student has demonstrated leadership; And, describe student's career plans and how these tie in with the pulse industry.

TCU Financial Group Scholarships

TCU Financial Group is awarding $10,000 in scholarships: 4 x $2,000 and 4 x $500 each. TCU Financial Group scholarship is open to all Grade 12 students attending any Regina or Saskatoon High School who are pursuing any type of post-secondary education for a minimum of one year full-time studies. To apply, candidates are required to fill out an application form and create a presentation about the following topics:

1) What are your laws of life? (What inspires you in life? What do you hope to achieve? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?)

2) How can TCU Financial Group help "Put More Money in your Pocket"?

The presentation can be submitted as a written proposal, a video, a Power Point presentation or as combination of the previously mentioned formats.

Application/submission deadline is April 30th, 2018.


Whitmore Park Community Association

2017/2018 Youth Leadership Award (Grade 12)

Whitmore Park Community Youth Leadership Award is given to a student who has contributed his/her talents, energy and time to community and volunteer work. A one graduate from Campbell Collegiate and one graduate from LeBoldus High School will receive a cash award of $500.00 each. Eligibility criteria include the following 1) Applicant must be resident of Whitmore Park 2) Applicant's household must possess the 2017/2018 Whitmore Park Community Association Membership. If your family doesn't have a current membership, please contact Doug Samchinsky at 306-584-1444 to get one. Memberships are $5.00 and are valid for family household members until September 1st, 2018. 3) Applicant must graduate from high school in June 2018 and continue a post-secondary education in the fall of 2018. To apply, applicants need to fill out an application form and should demonstrate in their application on how they have contributed to the Whitmore Park Community and how to make the
Whitmore Park Community a better place for youth to live. The application form is available in the guidance office.

The Monsanto Fund Opportunity Scholarship Program for the 2018 / 2019

The Monsanto Fund Opportunity Scholarship Program is available to Canadian high school students who will graduate from high school in June 2018 and will continue their post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in an agriculture, food science or culinary program. Successful applicants will each be awarded a scholarship valued at $1,500 based on academic standing and leadership in the community. To apply, candidates need to submit a completed application form, two references, a university/college acceptance letter, a copy of high school transcript and application essay.

Regina East Zone Board

Community Volunteerism Scholarship

The East Zone Recreation Board is offering 2 x $1,000 each scholarships to the high school graduating students who live in the communities served by the East Zone Board (Boothill, Arcola East and Dewdney East). To be eligible to apply students must be accepted in a Saskatchewan based post-secondary institution for the upcoming fall.

The selection criteria are based on community participation, including extra-curricular school activities, church and charitable activities and other volunteerism. Eligible candidates must submit an application, a proof of acceptance to post-secondary educational, technical or trades program, attestation and signature.

Elvood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program

Attention Grade 11 students!

Affinity Credit Union is accepting applications for Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program. This program is designed by Affinity Credit Union for young members who aspire to make a difference in their community. Twenty-six students will be accepted into this program. After students complete the program, each student will receive $2500 toward their post-secondary education. Along with the monetary award, recipients will get an opportunity to attend meetings with their local District Council and to engage in a community outreach event during their grade 12 year. Applicants must be ACU member or a dependent of a member. The application including supporting documents must be submitted online. The supporting documents include a reference letter, the most recent transcript and a max 400 words essay on ONE of the following two topics:

Choice #1 "Describe your vision for the kind of community you'd like to live in"

Choice #2 " Provide a brief history of any co-operative in your community"

Build a Better World Scholarship

Attention Grade 12!

If you are a member or a dependent of a member of Affinity Credit Union, check this out! Affinity Credit Union is giving away 60 x $500 scholarships to grade 12 students who are graduating in June 2018 and who are planning to continue their post-secondary education in the fall of 2018.

Access Communications Scholarship

Access Communications is offering up to 20 scholarships, worth $1,000 each, to graduating students in Saskatchewan who demonstrated exemplary community involvement as well as academic achievement. To apply, students must have an intent to continue post-secondary eduction at either a technical college or university. Selection of a recipient is based on community involvement, participation in extracurricular school activities, academic achievement, and post-secondary plans. The applicant must be Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident and must reside in Saskatchewan.

Agriculture Student Scholarship

Grade 12 students entering agriculture-related post-secondary studies in the fall of 2018 are invited to apply for one of four scholarships offered by the Ministry of Agriculture. The Ministry of Agriculture offers one major scholarship valued at $4,000 and three scholarships at $2,000.

To apply, students must complete an application form (available online) and:

- Need to submit a three-minute creative video or write a well-researched fact-based 1,000-word essay based on the theme "Our Food Has a Story"

- Need to provide proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institution (by April 1st)

- Need to provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher, agriculture industry or community leader

Quest for Excellence 2018 Bursary Program

RE/MAX of Western Canada established the Quest for Excellence bursary program to recognize the success and continuing pursuits of Western Canadian students in regards to leadership and community contribution. This year RE/MAX is offering (16) $1,000 bursaries for a total of $16,000 to grade 12 students. In addition to her/his bursary one recipient will receive a hot air balloon ride for two.

 2018 Carlyle Murray Educational Scholarship

The Carlyle Murray Educational Foundation provides an annual post-secondary scholarship to a Regina area graduating student. The scholarship amount for 2018 is $1,500 of which $ 1,000 will be paid at the beginning of the second semester in the first year of post-secondary and $500 at the beginning of the second year.

Applicants will be evaluated based on academic performance, extra-curricular activity and level of financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to attend a post-secondary institution within Saskatchewan. Any form of post-secondary education, including trades training, that takes at least two years to complete will be taken in consideration.

Loran Scholarship 2018

If you are a grade 12 graduating student in a good academic standing who possess integrity, determination and personal autonomy, you are encouraged to apply for the Loran Scholar Program. The application process is now open. Candidates can apply through two groups:

Sponsored group - three students will be nominated by the school.  Students interested to be nominated should visit, start application process and register in the GUIDANCE office by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6th, 2017. To register students need to submit a resume.

Direct group - need to apply online at by OCTOBER 25th, 2017. 

This year, the Loran Scholars Foundation will give away 34 Loran awards valued at up to $100,000 over four years and acceptable at 25 universities. For the list of participating universities visit 

In addition, the Loran Scholars Foundation will grant up to 104 finalist and provincial awards ($5,000 or $2,000 each) to promising candidates.

Eligibility criteria: Student must be in their final year in a high school; must have a minimum average of 85%; must have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status; and, must be 16 years of age or older as of September 1st, 2018.


Horatio Alger Scholarship

Grade 12 students, who will graduate in June 2018 and plan to continue a post-secondary education, are invited to apply for the 2018 Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship. The 2018 Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship program is offering 85 scholarships to grade 12 students who have financial need and have demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. The Horatio Alger Association offers two levels of scholarship. Only one application is needed to be considered for both scholarships. The National Entrepreneurial Scholarship will be awarded to five students in the amount of $10,000. The National Entrepreneurial Scholars will also attend an all-expenses paid conference in April held in Washington, DC. An additional eighty students will be awarded $5,000 each for the Canadian Scholarship. To be considered for the Horatio Alger Association of Canada Scholarship Programs, applicants must:

  • Be graduating in June 2018
  • Planing to continu post-secondary education
  • Demonstrate a financial need
  • Be involved in extracurricular and community activities
  • Maintain a minimum grade percentage of 65
  • Be Canadian citizen

Beef is Your Future

Livestock Marketers of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Cattlemen's Association are offering two $1,500 bursaries to Saskatchewan high school students who will be graduating in June 2017. Eligible candidates must be planning to enroll at a Canadian post-secondary institution (degree or diploma) in a first year agriculture or veterinary medical program with the intent to work in the beef industry upon completion.

Winners will be choosen based on the following criteria:

An academic standing, leadership in a community and a demonstrated interest in the cattle sector.

To apply, students need to submit a completed application including supporting documents; a reference letter, a list of extracurricular activities and leadership initiatives, university/college acceptance letter, a high school transcript and 300 to 500 words application essay. The essay should explain "What role can you play in the future of beef production? How will you contribute to the cattle industry?"

The National Union's Scholarship Program

for 2018 / 2019

This year the National Union of Public and General Employees offers five scholarships to the children, grandchildren or foster children of the National Union's members who plan to enroll a full-time post-secondary education at a Canadian public post-secondary education institution in 2018/2019.

The amount of each scholarship is $1,500. A deadline to apply for any of these scholarships is July 6th, 2018.

1) The Tommy Douglas Scholarship is open to all students who plan to enter the first year of a post-secondary education. it will be awarded for the best 750-1000 words essay on "How Tommy Douglas contributed to making Canada a more just and equitable society."

2) The Terry Fox Memorial Scholarship is offered to all students with disabilities who plan to enter the first year of a post-secondary education. It will be awarded for the best 750-1500 words essay on "The importance of quality public services in enhancing the quality of life of Aboriginal Canadians."

3) The Scholarship for Aboriginal Canadians is open to all Aboriginal Canadian students who plan to enter the first year of a post-secondary education. It will be awarded for the best 750-1000 word essay on "The importance of quality public services in enhacing the quality of life of Aboriginal Canadians."

4) The Scholarship for Visible Minorities is open to all visible minority students who plan to enter the first year of a post-secondary education. It will be awarded for the best 750-1000 word essay on "The importance of quality of public services in enhancing the quality of life of visible minorities."

5) Brian Fudge Memorial Scholarship is open to all students entering a field of study in policing, criminal justice services, community services or health care services. It will be awarded for the best 750-1000 word essay on "The importance of their field of study in policing, criminal justice services or health care in delivering public services to Canadians."

Education Scholarship

Each year the Saskatchewan School Boards Association awards two $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school students who remain in Saskatchewan in post-secondary study:

Degree Program Scholarship: $2,500

Technical/Trade Program Scholarship: $2,500

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated good character, community leadership, financial need, and a 500-word essay.

Terry Fox Humanitarian Award

The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award is one of Canada's most established and prestigious awards open to students of all abilities. The value of the award is $28,000 dispersed over four years. The successful candidates will be caring individuals who are compassionate and selfless in their intention to improve the lives of others. The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award is committed to helping others and making the world a better place. To be considered, applicants must be in good academic standing, Canadian citizens or landed immigrants, graduating from high school in the coming year, involved in voluntary humanitarian activities (for which they have not been compensated), and planning to enroll a post-secondary institution in Canada.

Although Selection Committee will look for excellence in academic, athletic, and civic life; these are not factors that will be weighed as heavily as humanitarianism.

RBC Student Leading Change Scholarship


RBC is awarding 15 RBC Student Leading Change Scholarships worth $10,000 each.

There will be 8 scholarships awarded to graduating high school students and 7 scholarships awarded to students enrolled in any year of post secondary education.

Stacey Levitt Memorial Award

On behalf of the Levitt Family, Parachute Organization is publicizing the Stacey Levitt Memorial Award. Stacey Levitt was a high school students killed by a car. Her family created a $2,500 annual award in her memory. The award is an encouragement to all students to live and embrace their life to the fullest "while maintaining an approach that is rooted in risk management and injury preventation". Any student attending a Canadian high school can apply. To apply, students need to submit following documents: a completed application form available online, a letter of recommendation from an individual with first-hand knowledge of the applicant's involvement in their school or community, and a short essay (max. 2 pages, double-space, font size 12) addressing the following question: How do you demonstrate a long life lived to the fullest and how are you helping others to achieve this? How do you demonstrate Parachute's goals, and brand values of nobility, courage, and inclusivity? If successful, how do you intend to use the funding provided by the Stacey Levitt memorial award?

Mary Joyce Booth Memorial Scholarship

In a memory of Mary Joyce Booth, The Canadian Parents for French are giving away two $1,500 scholarships. Successful candidates should meet the following criteria; will be graduating from Grade 12 French program and have the intention of entering a post-secondary program in the French language, should demonstrate excellence in their leadership ability and should display willingness to help others further their learning in FSL. Students interested to apply need to submit a completed application form including supplementary forms to the Canadian Parents for French Saskatchewan Branch Office TBA. Supplementary forms requested 1) A letter (written in French) outlining the applicant's learning experience in French, work or volunteer experience using French and goals upon completion of university 2) A copy of the high school transcript or equivalent 3) A letter of conditional acceptance into a Bachelor of Education Program with specialization in French 4) A letter of reference from a high school teacher, instructor or supervisor, which validates the applicant's competency in the French language. High School Scholarship

The CMA High School Scholarship of $1,000 is available to one graduating high school student who is entering the accounting program at the University of Regina or the University of Saskatchewan.  The scholarship will be awarded to the student with the highest GPA in Grade 12, and will be presented at the CMA annual convocation ceremony.

To apply for this scholarship, the applicant should send a letter of application to be updated.

Saskatchewan School Boards Association Education Scholarships

Each year two scholarships of $2,500 are awarded to graduating high school students who remain in Saskatchewan in post-secondary study:

University Scholarship: $2,500 for a student entering university in Saskatchewan.  The application deadline is August 31st every year.

Applied Science and Technology Scholarship: $2,500 for a student entering a recognized institute of applied science and technology in Saskatchewan.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated good character, community leadership, financial need, and a 500-word essay.
