Campbell Collegiate is privileged to have one of the finest high school auditoriums in Western Canada. The sound system is a truly professional level and the lighting has undergone upgrades over the last several years that give us an exceptional range of lighting possibilities.  Along with three separate video projection systems we are the envy of many schools.  In order to operate our system, we have a student team of 8 members. We are now building our team for the 2018-2019 school year.  If you are interested in being on this tech team, please speak to Mrs Smyth in the main office.

**Your Campbell Tartans hockey team play Martin Collegiate today at 4:15 at the Hamilton arena.  If the team wins, they go straight to the City Final game!  Come on out and watch Coach Adams and the boys make a run for another championship for our school this year!


**Campbell Dance Team travelled to Edmonton this past weekend for the True North Alberta Dance Competition! We are excited to announce that both Campbell Pom & Jazz team’s placed FIRST place in their divisions!  This was an incredible accomplishment for both teams, especially defeating our arch rivals, Bedford Road Collegiate from Saskatoon! The girls danced with passion, poise and confidence in all numbers and were amazing ambassadors of our mighty Tartans! Our girls will be competing at the Best of the West Competition this

 upcoming Saturday, so please come out and show your support as they face off against other Saskatchewan teams in their final competition of the season!


**There will be a Senior Boys team handball practice tonight 7:30 – 8:30 please communicate through remind if you are unable to attend. Otherwise Mrs. Sundeen will assume you are not playing. Bring athlete forms , they are needed before you are allowed to play a game.

**University of Saskatchewan

College of Nursing Open House

University of Saskatchewan College of Nursing, in a cooperation with few other University of Saskatchewan

programs, is organizing Open House on Tuesday, March 27th at the University of Saskatchewan Regina Campus (Corner of 4th & Lewvan, Regina).  Interested students and parents are welcome to stop by any time between 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Beside College of Nursing, the following University of Saskatchewan programs will attend Open House: College of Medicine, College of Law, School of Public Policy, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition.  For more information, call 306-337-3800.


**TCU Financial Group Scholarships

TCU Financial Group is awarding $10,000 in scholarships: 4 x $2,000 each and 4 x $ 500 each. TCU Financial Group scholarship is open to all Grade 12 students attending any Regina or Saskatoon High School who are pursuing any type of post-secondary education for a minimum of one year full-time studies. To apply, candidates are required to fill out an application form and create a presentation about the following topics:

1)     What are your laws of life? (What inspires you in life? What do you hope to achieve? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?)

2)     How can TCU Financial Group help “Put More Money in your Pocket”? 

The presentation can be submitted as a written proposal, a video, a Power Point presentation or as combination of the previously mentioned formats. Application/submission deadline is April 30th, 2018.

**TransCanada Scholarships

As a part of their Education & Training community program TransCanada will be awarding more than $600,000 in scholarships to students across North America. Students can apply for one of the following three scholarships:

1)     TransCanada Community Leaders Scholarship – 100 scholarships x $1,000 each will be awarded to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to their communities through volunteerism, leadership and other activities.

2)     TransCanada Indigenous Legacy Scholarship – 60 scholarships x $5,000 each will be awarded to Indigenous students who are studying any academic disciplines. Students will be eligible to receive this scholarship year over year, assuming they stay enrolled.

3)     TransCanada Trades Scholarship – 15- x $1,000 each will be awarded to students who are studying trades relevant to the energy industry.

Students need to answer five questions at  to check if they pre-qualify to apply.

The application deadline is April 15, 2018.


**Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program

The Saskatchewan Co-op Youth Program is a core program of the Saskatchewan Co-op Association. The purpose of the program is to aid personal development of youth and encourage their involvement in community & co-operative organizations. Co-op Camp is a great opportunity for students to get to know themselves and meet new friends. The camps offer hands-on opportunities to learn about leadership, communication, decision making and team work. Other topics include human differences and understanding global development, public speaking, outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, campfires, volleyball and much more. This summer Saskatchewan Co-op Association will be offering seven youth leadership camps for 12 to 18 year olds either at Candle Lake or Last Mountain Lake. Global Grain Group Career Spotlight

This spotlight will focus on careers in Agriculture and will be hosted at the G3 Terminal in Belle Plain. Students will attend the presentation that will include career

opportunities, salary expectations, and working condition about different careers within Agriculture industry. After the presentation students will tour the G3 grain facility and familiarize themselves with grain grading. The school will allow students to attend and the absence will be ‘Office’ excused but students are responsible for all material missed in class that day. The event will take place on Thursday, March 22nd from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The students will be bussed to Belle Plain from Campus

The Innovative Program Open House

Are you interested in design, CAD/CAM drafting, Computer Numerical Control; Machining, Welding, Fabrication, Robotics, 3-D printing and Project Management? If so, check out the Innovative Manufacturing program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic Institute. University of Alberta - Registration 101 Workshop

Attention to all students who have received an admission offer from the University of Alberta!

On Saturday, March 24th, the University of Alberta will be at the Hotel Saskatchewan, Regina to help you to prepare for your first year of studies.  They are offering the Registration 101 Workshop to help you determine which classes to take in your first year, to help you design your schedule, and to show you how to register using Bear Tracks. University of Regina

Win Tuition for a Year

Students who apply for admission at the University of Regina before March 15 will be automatically entered for ‘Win tuition for a Year’ scholarship. To be eligible to apply a student must be Canadian citizens, permanent resident or protected person who is applying for admission for the first time into the undergraduate program in the upcoming fall semester; a student must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours in each of the upcoming fall and winter semester at the University of Regina; a student must achieve a minimum UGPA of 65% to receive the winter portion of this scholarship; and recipient of this scholarship may not be eligible for other entrance scholarships funded by the University of Regina.


Build a Better World Scholarship

Attention Grade 12 students! If you are a member or a dependent of a member of Affinity Credit Union, check this out!  Affinity Credit Union is giving away 60 x $500 scholarships to Grade 12 students who are graduating in June 2018 and who are planning to continue their post-secondary education in the fall of 2018.  To apply, eligible candidates need to submit their application including supporting documents online by May 1, 2018. Supporting documents include a reference letter, the most recent transcript and short essay answering the following two questions: 1) “What’s your career goal and why have you chosen it? Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program

Attention Grade 11 students!  Affinity Credit Union is accepting applications for Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program.  This program is designed by Affinity Credit Union for young members who aspire to make a difference in their community. Twenty-six students will be accepted into this program. After students complete the program, each student will receive $2500 toward their post-secondary education. Along with the monetary award, recipients will get an opportunity to attend meetings with their local District Council and to engage in a community outreach event during their grade 12 year. Applicants must be ACU member or a dependent of a member. The application including supporting documents must be submitted online. The supporting documents include a reference letter, the most recent transcript and a max 400 words essay on ONE of the following two topics: Choice #1 “Describe your vision for the kind of community you’d like to live it” Choice #2 “Provide a brief history of any co-operative in your community”. Regina East Zone Board Community Volunteerism Scholarship

The East Zone Recreation Board is offering two $1000 each scholarships to the high school graduating students who live in the communities served by the East Zone Board (Boothill, Arcola East and Dewdney East).  To be eligible to apply students must be accepted in a Saskatchewan based post-secondary institution for the upcoming fall. The selection criteria are based on community participation, including extra-curricular school activities, church and charitable activities and other volunteerism. Eligible candidates must submit an application, a proof of acceptance to post-secondary educational, technical or trades program and attestation and signature. Campbell Grad Closet

It is the time when many Grade 12 students start planning for their Campbell Grad Prom. It can be a costly time for many of families. We do not want you to miss out, so if you have a financial need that might prevent you from attending the prom, please talk to Ms Bachynski in the Library or come in guidance to see Ms Bidulka. There are many prom dresses and a few suits in Campbell’s Grad Closet that are waiting just for you. Please note that this service is highly confidential so do not be shy.


Access Communications Scholarship

Access Communications is offering up to 20 scholarships worth $1,000 each to graduating students in Saskatchewan who demonstrate exemplary community involvement as well as academic achievement. To apply, students must have an intent to continue post-secondary education at either a technical college or university.  Selection of a recipient is based on community involvement, participation in extracurricular school activities, academic achievement, and post-secondary plans. The recipient must be Canadian citizen or permanent resident and must reside in Saskatchewan. The application deadline is Friday, April 20th.

Skills Work-Young Women’s Conference

The event is intended for Grades 9-12 female students who would like to investigate a career in trade or

technology.  Participating students will learn about careers in trades and technology, participate in a team engineering activity “Junk Yard Wars”, visit the Skills Canada Provincial Competitions, win prizes, meet other grade 9-12 students who have same interests etc.  The event will be held on Friday, April 13th, 2018 from 8:45 am – 3:45 pm in Regina (specific location TBD). There is no cost for students. Only 40 spots available.  Interested students can register at 


Carlyle Murray Educational Scholarship

The Carlyle Murray Educational Foundation provides an annual post-secondary scholarship to a Regina area graduating student. The scholarship amount for 2018 is $1,500 of which $1,000 will be paid at the beginning of the second semester in the first year of post-secondary and $500 at the beginning of the second year. Applicants will be evaluated based on academic performance, extra-curricular activity and level of financial need.  Preference will be given to applicants who plan to attend a post-secondary institution within Saskatchewan. Any form of post-secondary education, including trades training, that takes at least two years to complete will be taken in consideration. Application forms are available in the Guidance office. The University of Regina Awards Workshops

The Student Awards and Financial Aid Office is offering free Entrance Award workshops for any current grade 12 students who want to learn how to use SAMS (online Student Awards Management System). All Entrance

Award workshops will be located in the Archer Library. Fall 2018 Entrance Award Workshops for new students entering the University of Regina will be held on Monday, March 5 (5:30-7:00 pm). The deadline to apply for Fall Entrance Awards is March 15, 2018.
