THE RCMP HERITAGE CENTER LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

For a Variety of Duties such as

Gift Shop Help: Working in this area volunteers will be asked to help customers, perform light cleaning duties and "ring through" purschases. This is a perfect opportunity for people who enjoy working with the public and want to gain retail experience. Training is provided; no experience necessary.

Docent: This a great opportunity for people who enjoy interacting with a large number of people. Volunteers in this area will share information with visitors about the RCMP Heritage Centre, its exhibits, and the RCMP history.

Public Events: Occasionally the Centre hosts large events that require a lot of volunteer support. Duties can range from helping with setting up, decorating, running a craft station, greeting and directing the public, cleaning up, and take down. This is ideal for those looking for sporadic volunteer opportunities and those who would like to volunteer as a group with their friends.

Educational Programming: Volunteers are needed to help with organizing materials, working with school and youth groups, and supporting the programming team. This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy working with children and the public.

The RCMP Heritage Centre is open 7 days a week from 11 to 5. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact info@rcmphc.com or 306-719-3025. Volunteers will need to provide a Criminal Record Check; this can be obtained at Regina Police Services, located at 1717 Osler St. There is no cost if you specify that the Criminal Record Check is for volunteer purposes.
