MUSICAL THEATRE MEMO  – NOVEMBER 4, 2016

To:      All Musical Theatre Parents

From: Deidre Baird

Re:      November News and Upcoming Dates –The Countdown has begun!!

We are getting very excited about the upcoming musical.  The cast has been working very hard, and we know that the show will be very entertaining!!

Please find attached the remaining rehearsal and performance dates.  These were originally published in the September memo to all parents and students. There have been a few important revisions, so please read over the schedule carefully. Thank you for your flexibility as we work to accommodate our volunteer production team's schedules. It is very important that ALL students have made arrangements to be in attendance at all remaining out of class rehearsals. It is very hard on the rest of the cast when people are missing.  Thank you so much for your help and support!

Thanks to the families who have sent back the Parent Volunteer Forms. Staging a large musical is a huge, expensive undertaking, and we appreciate your consideration and help.  We would not be able to offer this opportunity without the help of parent volunteers.  Parent Volunteers will be notified via email within the next week with specific details about the volunteer opportunities including the poster blitz.

If anyone is able to acquire corporate sponsorship to offset costs for the production it would really be appreciated.  In return for business donations, we will provide free advertising in our programs and publicity materials.  Tax receipts from the school board are also available.

Student Volunteers and Parent Drivers are asked to meet in the front foyer at 9AM  Diane Kardash is the parent coordinator of the blitz.  She will be contacting parents directly who have volunteered to do the poster blitz.

Her email is:

Parent and Staff Volunteers will be installing the thrust stage on Saturday.  A team of parents will be needed to build the stage platform on Saturday morning.  Parents who had indicated on volunteer forms that they would be willing to help with set construction have already been emailed this information.  However, more help is still needed and appreciated!
