Campbell Collegiate has been identified by the Saskatchewan Health Authority as one of three collegiates in Saskatchewan to offer voluntary COVID-19 testing to students. One reason our school was chosen is because of our large enrolment and because our students are representative of the Regina community.
Testing is completely voluntary and parents and guardians (and/or students over the age of 16) will determine if they wish to participate in the testing. Testing will also be available for all Campbell Collegiate staff. To participate in the COVID-19 testing, students and staff do not need to have any symptoms of COVID-19.
Personal health information will be kept private and secure! Please note that any health and test information will only be shared with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and will not be shared with staff or administration of Campbell Collegiate or Regina Public Schools. Please note, if any COVID-19 test results in a positive, Regina-based Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Medical Health Officer will be immediately informed. Students/staff with positive test results will be notified of their results by our local public health department.
Testing at Campbell Collegiate will be conducted on Wednesday, September 16th. Please return consent forms to Advisory teachers by Monday September 14th.
Parents and guardians and staff can view test results directly on MySaskHealthRecord. Signing up for MySaskHealthRecord is a safe and secure way to review personal health information, including test results. Please note that MySaskHealthRecord is not available to youth ages 12-17 due to possible sensitive information and eHealth Saskatchewan is working on a process to support access. All persons testing negative will receive a phone call with their test results within three days of the test date.
The SHA encourages getting tested for COVID-19. If parents or guardians or other family members require testing or are interested in getting tested, please call HealthLine 811 or their family physician or nurse practitioner for a referral for testing. Access to testing is also available at recently opened drive-thru testing sites in Regina without a referral or appointment (anyone being tested must have a valid Saskatchewan Health Card).
